Will the Pompano Beach East CRA pay toward a commercial repaint?
Only in some cases. Exterior painting is eligible for businesses on Atlantic Boulevard, Federal Highway and A1A in the East district, but maintenance painting with the same material is excluded. The paint has to be part of a facade improvement.
What does commercial painting cost?
Every job is quoted from a walk of the building, or from photos and drawings when they show enough. What about lead paint on an older building?
Paint applied before 1978 can contain lead. Federal EPA rules on renovation, repair and painting cover work that disturbs paint in pre-1978 housing and in child-occupied facilities, and where they apply the work is done by a certified firm with lead-safe practices. We check the building's age and use before the scope is written.
How long does a commercial repaint take?
A schedule comes after the walk-through, not before it. The schedule depends on the size and condition of the surfaces, the repairs found once washing is done, the weather, the access method, any board or color approval, and the hours the building allows us to work. Once those are known, you get a sequence with the dependencies named.
